Screws for socket head cap With a short cylindrical head, tall vertical sides, and a six-sided recess for use with an Allen wrench (hex key), zinc boltsalso known as \’Allen bolts\’are high-performance bolts. When there is not enough room for a traditional wrench or socket, socket head cap screws are frequently utilised. They are ideal for high strength bolting into threaded components and assemblies in the engineering, automotive, and manufacturing sectors. When combined with a matching hex nut, they can be used to secure steel to steel or timber to steel in construction as an aesthetically beautiful high tensile bolted connection.
