Silicon Carbide is the hardest, fastest cutting abrasive available used to remove heavy rust scale, corrosion or powder coating from steel or other hard materials and is an excellent choice for surface preparation prior to painting. Silicon Carbide stays sharp and is ideal when fast strip rates are desired. This abrasive penetrates deep into the substrate giving a high degree of etch. Silicon Carbide is typically used in a blast cabinet or where the abrasive is being recycled. Hardest, sharpest abrasive available Economical: can be used over and over Used in cabinet or reclaim system Sharper than aluminum oxide with better penetration Used to strip steel of heavy rust, scale, hard to remove paint and powder coat Approximate grit size: 80 grit Features Item Weight 25 Tools Included 0 Number of pieces included 1 Air Tool Type Air Tool Kit Housing Material Composite Recommended operating pressure (psi) 0 Tool weight (lb.) 25 Hose Included No Included No additional components or accessories are included Project Type Surface Prep Returnable 180-Day Tools Product Type Air Tool Kit Air consumption at recommended operating pressure (CFM) 0 Product Depth (in.) 10 in Product Height (in.) 10 in Product Width (in.) 10 in Air Inlet Size 0 in Product Length (in.) 9 in Manufacturer Warranty New Defective Only
